Oogavé

Oogavé Root Beer

Now this was an interesting find. Tastes very different, and we can't really put our finger on what it tastes like. But if the name has anything to do with it, we're guessing it's the agave they use! Really threw us off, we did not really love it!

Myers Avenue Red

Myers Avenue Red Root Beer

The first thing we noticed was the great old school label. Not only does the bottle look cool, but Myer's Avenue Red tastes great! It has a very distinct taste that we wouldn't really call root beer, more like a cinnamon gingerale with root beer undertones. Kyle thinks it tastes just like it has a hint of waffle crisp cereal (and it does has cinnamon in the ingredients). We imagine this is what Butterbeer tastes like from Harry Potter, Definitely worth a drink!

Mason's

Mason's Root Beer

This guy had a strong initial bite, weird taste and even weirder aftertaste. Not a very traditional root beer flavor, kind of like a mix between Coke and root beer maybe? Marie didn't even finish her glass.

Saranac 1888

Another winner!  This root beer has a fresh and creamy taste, and the perfect amount of carbonation. We don't love how high fructose corn syrup is the second ingredient, but for now, we'll definitely try it again!

Trader Joe's

Trader Joe's Vintage Root Beer

Good stuff!  We both enjoyed this one quite a bit.  It has a strong root beer flavor with vanilla tones.  Good flavor profile all around. Not too syrupy or sweet either. It has a unique aftertaste that isn't bad, but certainly different. This root beer also contains wintergreen, birch and sassafras.  This one goes on to the finals!
